As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season, I wanted to take a moment for pause and reflection on what this past year has meant for the company and me. While I expected we would have seen the end of pandemic restrictions in 2021, I am reminded of how little control I have over my surrounding environment. We are in the midst of a fourth wave, and the future again seems a bit uncertain regarding travel and health. While it can feel discouraging to think about what we are still challenged with, I am also struck by how resilient we are as individuals, companies, and industries.
In 2021 we continued to pursue excellence in patient-centered care. We helped advance oral health education and continued doing what we do best: building innovative technical solutions. We expanded our customer base and connected with our customers to add value to their organizations. As individuals, both within the company and the industry, we have shared the highs of meetings and the lows of cancelled plans. Yet, we continue to come together to collaborate to better the dental community despite it all.
Some of the beautiful attributes I see in others during the holidays are charitability and consideration of other people’s experiences. This time of year compels us to be kind, choose happiness, and spend our efforts, hours, and resources on others. I believe we can agree that the rules which govern how our world works, can be different for a moment.
At Exan, we are committed to partnering with you year-round. We strive to intimately understand the dental industry, contribute solutions to the challenges faced at dental institutions, and join you to educate the next generation of dental providers. This year came with circumstances and opportunities, unlike any previous year.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work with you: innovative, passionate, and philanthropic professionals. We are honoured to be a part of your mission by providing purpose-built software to help manage your clinics and educate dental students. In the coming year, we hope to continue building partnerships with each of you because I believe we are better together.
We look forward to hearing your institution’s updates, collaborating on projects together, participating in problem-solving sessions, and hopefully, seeing you in person soon. We hope you are well and staying safe. May this holiday season provide you with the much-needed rest you deserve. We wish you good health and all the best this holiday season.
Warm regards,
Rachel Nelson
